The pain has escaped me; My arms draw you near.
All eyes are upon you; My sweet baby dear.
I place you so close; Your warm flesh to mine,
We melt into each other; Our energies combine.
Your being is calmed; Your eyes fix a gaze,
Your senses begin; This delicate phase.
The voice you have known; Is now crystal clear,
It fills the sound; Of your inquisitive ears.
Your mouth opens wide; And is filled with a hand
You suckle that first; To help understand.
Sweet odor of me; Diffusing to you,
The smell drives you closer; The journey’s not thru.
Miraculously so I begin to see; You wedging and edging up closer to me.
The effort is great the urge so profound; It’s taken so much you must rest awhile.
A few moments have passed you awaken and then;
Begin on the journey while we’re Skin to Skin.
Upwards you climb nudging along;
You make it to your place where you’ve always belonged.
Close to my heart wrapped in my arms; Close for a kiss and sweet Mama songs.
Bobbing your head and mouth opened wide;
Your aim is spot on, You latch, Then you sigh.
My heart is so full; As the sweet rush begins,
The nectar of love will fill you within, and it all began;
When we lay Skin to Skin.
